Draw Latches
Straight Loop Latches
An over-center latch with a high strength wire loop, providing the greatest holding power of all loop configurations. Available in a number of styles, Nielsen straight loop latches can be ordered with padlockable eye and other options. Materials available include steel with a variety of finishes, and stainless steel for maximum durability and environmentally-harsh applications. Can be supplied with or without holes, also with weld projections, to meet user mounting requirements.
Spring Loop Latches
The spring loop provides constant tension allowing this latch to compensate for mating tolerances, and is designed for use with a mounted strike. Holding tension can be adjusted on mounting by varying the distance between latch and strike. Spring loop latches can be ordered with a range of loop sizes and styles, mounting options, and finishes. Many of these medium to light duty latches are also available in aluminum and stainless steel.
Hooked Loop Latches
Spring-tensioned hooked loop latches are designed to engage a molded cover lip of flange, and will compensate for uneven cover alignment and provide constant tenstion. Long loops offer a long reach and holding power is adjustable on mounting, with the distance between latch and cover determining closed tension. Hooked loop latches can be ordered in a wide range of sizes, finishes, with or without mounting holes, and in varied materials. Styles cover all duty ranges.
Spring Hook Latches
Heavy duty spring hook latches will engage both strikes and integral cover flanges or lips, compensating for gasket "set" over time or varied mating tolerances, providing a consistently tight seal over long term usage. Hook options include vinyl coating for special applications, as well as a variety of sizes. A curved latch base is one of the available mounting options, making the spring hook latch ideal for canister applications.
Adjustable Latches
Nielsen's adjustable latches include light, medium, and heavy duty versions, all easily field adjustable. A number of configurations are available, including those with locking levers to prevent accidental release, and security provisions for padlocks or wire seals. A wide range of mounting, material, and finish options, as well as many MIL-SPEC versions are available.
Utility Latches
Nielsen's most economical latch versions, utility latches are ideal for light duty box and case applications. Small and durable, utility latches can be ordered with or without strikes, as well as in a style that includes an integral 180° swing handle. Loops are spring-loaded for easy opening and secure holding. Available with or without mounting holes and in a variety of finishes.
